Low pressure running up the front will enhance snow on the west slopes of the Appalachians into Ontario. I think the most snow we will see is around 6-8 inches, especially over the higher elevations and around the lakes. Buffalo could see a band of heavy lake effect snows later tonight and Friday.
The snow will begin once the cold front moves through the temperatures fall. Expect flash freezes and icy roads with snow on top. Not a nice evening for travel. The snow will only last for about 6 hours but could really come down hard for a time.
Notice that snow can make into northern Alabama and northern Georgia.
