A storm will cut across the Northern Plains followed by another storm that will cut into the western lakes. Between the two, very very cold weather and snow with winds gusting to 40 to 60 mph will hit the upper Midwest Tuesday night and Wednesday. Snowfall generally will be 1-4 inches but parts of northern Minnesota may see up to 6-8 inches of snow. Just to give you an idea on how cold it will be, this is the GFS temperature forecast for Thursday afternoon with highs well below 0. Wind chills will be dangerous levels.
